Benefits and How-To’s of Using a Wedding Planner

I remember getting engaged and while the excitement was abounding, I soon after started feeling overwhelmed by the number of tasks I foresaw would be required to make this wedding happen to everyone’s satisfaction. Every day there seemed to be more and more to consider and plan for and I wanted to cover all the bases with ease and in a timely fashion like my type A personality insisted on. My post-its were everywhere and in retrospect I wonder if hiring a wedding planner would have eased so much of that stress allowing me to have more sleep filled nights.

I’ve talked to so many couples getting married at various stages of their wedding preparation and while many were perfectly comfortable in making all the plans themselves, others were happy to hand all the wedding prep over to a wedding planner who would listen to their wishes and needs and whom they could trust to make the magic happen. I thought about various personalities and whether that played a factor in deciding on hiring a wedding planner. While a bit tongue in cheek, this is what I came up with.

Which Type Are You?

A. You are a detail oriented person that enjoys getting things done ahead of time. Nothing gives you more pleasure than completing a ‘To Do’ list. Spreadsheets are your love language.

B. On your last vacation you planned everything down to the last second including time for brushing your teeth. You visited five countries in three days and brought home personalized souvenirs for your extended family and everyone at the office.

C. You are a great planner with good ideas but don’t mind asking for help in some areas.

D. You are a free spirited optimist that believes everything will be lowered into place on ribbons by wedding fairies whilst you sleep.

E. You never made a decision you liked. If you ask your fiancé one more question about colour blocking or choosing between fuchsia and magenta table runners he or she is going to run screaming for the hills.

Some Benefits Of Having A Wedding Planner

If you answered D or E you might want to consider hiring a wedding planner right away, but anyone can benefit from having a wedding planner.

1. They offer a wide variety of services. Some are willing to plan only certain parts of a wedding which might save on cost and leave those who answered ‘C’ free to plan the aspects they enjoy. Even our ‘A’ and ‘B’ super planners can benefit from having someone else in charge of setup and takedown, leaving them free to enjoy the day.

2. Destination weddings in particular might benefit from having a wedding planner. If they are familiar with the part of the world you’re planning to travel to they can help with documentation, paperwork, and correspondence with the venue operator.

3. Even though planners are themselves an expense, a wedding planner can be very helpful in keeping you on budget. Their contacts with trustworthy vendors may save you time, and because vendors depend on their referrals, dollars as well.

Some Questions To Consider Asking

1. How long have you been a wedding planner?

2. What kind of services and packages do you offer?

3. Are you a member of a professional organization and or the Better Business Bureau?

4. Do you have references I could be in touch with and photos from previous events?

It is up to you to be clear with your potential wedding planner as to what you foresee your wedding day to look like along with budget expectations, and what exactly you are hoping them to do. Do you need help with decor, flowers, photography, pre-wedding parties, rehearsal dinner, organization of out-of-town guests, guest special needs, seating arrangements…? Wedding planners can help you with any part of the concept, organization and execution of your wedding day. They can also be someone who helps you to focus and breathe. Breathing is good!

Something Blue for your Wedding Day

Beautiful Blue

There is an old saying “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” The theory is that if the bride carries or wears something from each category in the saying, her marriage will be a happy one. Most brides who have any twinge of being superstitious will comply in order to have a positive future with their new spouse.

Why blue?

In ancient Rome, brides wore the colour blue to symbolize their love of their fiancé, their modesty and fidelity. Purity has also been associated with the colour blue as seen in Christianity with the Virgin Mary shown in blue. And so, throughout the ages and into the present, the tradition of a bride wearing or carrying something blue has lived on.

How to incorporate blue into your wedding attire.

Over the years, brides have become quite creative in how they incorporate blue into their wedding attire so as not to bestow bad luck on their marital life. We at Eventastic Weddings have some suggestions as to how you could add ‘something blue’ or variations of. Just how creative are you prepared to be?

Hair

Wedding HairWould you? Could you? How about adding a bit of blue to your wedding day hair? Some brides have been known to get quite creative with their blue wedding touches. Recognizing that most wouldn’t dare go this route, it’s fun to consider a fine blue streak at the nape of your neck or even a tiny blue feather clipped somewhere in your hair.

Jewelry

Whether short, mid-length or long, brides are choosing wedding dresses with colour. Still drawn to the traditional white gown? You may wish to consider a gown adorned in small touches of blue such as Swarovski crystals or embroidery with initials and wedding date.

Shoes

Wedding ShoesWhat about peek-a-boo blue on your wedding shoes? These little blue crystals attached to the sole of your shoes are so sweet and discreet! What a great idea and wouldn’t take long to do with some glue, toothpicks and dazzlers of your choice.

5 DIY Wedding Favor Ideas Your Guests Will Love!

The practice of giving wedding favors to guests date back to 16th century England where it was reportedly common for newly married couples to give love knots made out of ribbon and lace to all their guests. The tradition has carried on throughout the years with the bride and groom placing trinkets signifying their love at the wedding guests’ reception place settings. These ‘trinkets’ have come in all sizes, themes, and various costs depending on the couple’s choice.

Couples will often buy small ready made gifts for their guests but many times the bride will choose to show her creative side by wanting to make the wedding favors herself. It is not uncommon for the bride and her bridesmaids to plan an evening (or many) to work on their ‘Do-It-Yourself’ favors for all to admire and appreciate at the reception. Some DIY favors can be quite time consuming depending on how extravegant in detail and how many guests will be on the receiving end. Keeping these key features in mind might save you last minute anguish so it is smart to begin your projects early.

Throughout my bridal show travels and attendance at various weddings over the years I have come across some great DIY Wedding Favor ideas and thought I’d share some of my favourites.

  1. Mason Preserve Jars with DIY Cross Stitch Heart Top. Always a treat as a guest to receive a jar of preserves with a handcrafted topper!Great DIY wedding favor ideas!
  2. I have always appreciated receiving plant wedding favors. Pick a small plant/flower of your choice and wrap in burlap & lace as seen below or use fabric with the colours of your wedding. Great wedding favor ideas!
  3. I remember receiving a caramel apple as a wedding favor as both the bride and groom were teachers. It was so cute and delicious! Red candy apples at table settings at black, white and red weddings look amazing!Great DIY wedding favor ideas!
  4. Cupcakes expertly decorated with details of flowers, hearts and lace will always ‘wow’ the guests! If you haven’t perfected your cake decorating skills, no worries! Purchase the cupcakes and add your personal touch by placing in a pretty tea cup on a paper lace doily. Great wedding favor ideas!
  5. Recently I was taken by a couple’s wedding favor where they added a beautiful ribbon to a mini white lantern and inserted a battery-powered votive to be glowing throughout the reception at each place setting. What a beautiful overall look in the dimly lit room! I continue to use and admire it.Great wedding favor idea!

iStock_000028094024MediumThere are so many options when considering having favors at your wedding. What you end up choosing will likely depend on how they will add to the overall look you are going for when guests enter the reception, cost, time required to have them ready, amount of assistance you will need and have, availability etc.

We at Eventastic hope you enjoy your journey in choosing the favors best suited for you and your wedding. For more great wedding favor ideas check out our Wedding Favors Pinterest Board.

Love & Marriage Quotes To Use in a Wedding Speech

Love & Marriage quotes of inspiration

If you’ve ever had to do a speech at a wedding or assist with one you will know it can be quite a stressful process. Not all those chosen to give a speech are well acquainted with or feel well equipped in speaking in front of a room full of people. The speaker will want to introduce themselves, maybe tell a funny or sentimental story relating to the couple, share their thoughts on how the couple is so well suited for each other and make a toast of well wishes for their future together.

In writing a wedding speech often the author will want to sprinkle their words of wisdom with quotes relating to love and marriage. The quote(s) can be serious and/or comical in nature depending on the speaker’s personality and presentation. They may be quotes taken from famous writers, celebrities or anyone who has shown a flair for words which may be inspirational to the newly married couple. Here are some of our favourite love and marriage quotes seen and heard over the years. Maybe you’ll want to incorporate one into your own speech.

  • “A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.” Mignon McLaughlin
  • “Happy is the man who finds a true friend, and far happier is he who finds that true friend in his wife.” Franz Schubert
  • “I love being married. It’s so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life.” Rita Rudner
  • “Don’t every stop dating your wife and don’t ever stop flirting with your husband.” anonymous
  • “Happily ever after is not a fairy tale. It’s a choice.” Fawn Weaver
  • “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.” Henry Ford
  • “It is not a lack of love, but a lack of friendship that makes unhappy marriages.” Friedrich Nietzsche
  • “To keep your marriage brimming with love in the wedding cup, whenever you’re wrong, admit it; whenever you’re right, shut up.” Ogden Nash
  • “Sexiness wears thin after awhile and beauty fades, but to be married to a man who makes you laugh every day, ah, now that is a treat.” Joanne Woodward
  • “A good marriage is one which allows for change and growth in the individuals and in the way they express their love.” Pearl S. Buck
  • “It was a million tiny little things that, when you added them all up, they meant we were supposed to be together…and I knew it.” Tom Hanks, Sleepless In Seattle
  • “Immature love says: ‘I love you because I need you.’ Mature love says ‘I need you because I love you.'” Erich Fromm
  • “Love is when the other person’s happiness is more important than your own.” H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
  • “Everything is clearer when you’re in love.” John Lennon
  • “Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.” Dr. Seuss

When writing your speech for a wedding; whether the master of ceremonies, a friend, family member or wedded one, remember you will be speaking to guests who have just witnessed the special union of two people in love wanting to commit to each other for the rest of their lives. Guests are most likely sensing that warm and fuzzy all over happy tingle and you’ll want to speak words that will augment those feelings and possibly even inspire their own relationships.

Best wishes in writing your speech from Eventastic. We hope our favourite quotes will be helpful.

Top Bridal Bouquet Picks for Your Wedding

Bridal bouquets come in many colours, shapes and sizes.Way back in ancient times, a bride carrying a bouquet of fragrant flowers and spices was a way of ensuring her sweet smell on her wedding day.  In some cultures, carrying a bouquet was a way of warding off evil spirits.  The tradition has carried on to present day where brides continue to carry flowers to varying degrees; not to cover up any unwanted odours like in the past, but to further adorn her look with her favourite flowers as she walks down the aisle to the love of her life. Bridal bouquets come in a very wide assortment of colours, sizes and shapes.  Choosing flowers whether a single stem or a full display is one of the joys a bride-to-be has in preparing for her wedding.

I have a number of weddings to attend this year and I am excited to see the current bridal choices for flowers and bouquets. I guess it’s the gardener and event planner in me that finds it fascinating and inspiring to see what their personal likes are and maybe get inspired for future blogs, events (centrepieces/decor) and even what to plant in my own gardens. While completely a personal choice and preference for each bride, there are certainly bouquet styles that seem to be trending with brides everywhere.

Top 10 Ideas To Encourage Bridesmaid Bonding

BridesmaidsWe probably all know the movie “Bridesmaids” and have had many laughs over the girls and their differences. It’s a reality that brides, when choosing her bridesmaids, will not pick a group of girls that have all chummed together and know each other well. The bride has chosen various people to be in her wedding party that have a special place in her heart and life. While the goal is not that all those chosen become besties, it is a lot less stressful when they can all get along, ‘celebrate’ their differences, and join together to create fun and memorable experiences not only for the wedding day but also any pre-wedding parties.

It can be especially helpful for the bride to coordinate times for her bridesmaids to be together prior to the wedding. Not only does this help them to get to know each other, it allows them the opportunity to exchange phone numbers and any information that subsequently may help in possibly planning any pre-wedding events together.  Each bridesmaid will have special characteristics and possibly talents that will be very helpful in preparing for the big day and while the bride may already know each one’s traits, it will be good for her attendants to learn this too. There are many ways of bringing everyone together for an afternoon or evening of fun and ‘bonding time’. You obviously won’t want to plan things on a weekly basis as you don’t want to ‘over do it’ and coordinating schedules can be a challenge but we thought we would give some ideas you could consider between your engagement and wedding day.

Bridesmaid Bonding Ideas

  1. Dress Shopping – Have an idea of style and colour prior to your excursion.
  2. Movie Night – Whether in or out at the movies; popcorn, drinks & laughs are always welcome.
  3. Wedding Website Session – Whether helping to establish it or not it is important that they know all the features so as to tell other friends, family & guests how to maneuver around the site and get all the information.
  4. Wedding Favour Time – Are you thinking a DIY guest favour? This is a great reason to get assistance & input!
  5. Cookie Exchange – Everyone loves getting a dozen cookies. Picking a theme makes it even more fun.
  6. Bachelorette Party – Classically involves dressing up and doing some bar hopping creating stories and memories with every stop.
  7. Spa Day – Manicures, pedicures, facials etc. all help everyone relax and feel good. (Do it at home or some places allow you to bring in a bottle of wine!)
  8. Wine and Cheese Party – Discuss wedding preparations, progress or to plan and coordinate a pre-wedding party like a ‘Stag and Doe’ or ‘Shower’ and decide on dates and who does what.
  9. Cooking Class Evening – Coordinate a night where everyone can get together to learn to cook a special dish.
  10. Special Occasion Get together – Like filling Easter baskets together, or decorating Victoria Day cookies, or having a beach day etc.

Bridesmaids having funIt is the bride’s worst nightmare to have bridesmaids that are difficult and the last thing the bride has time for is to play mediator between all involved. Hopefully those chosen for this special role in the wedding will do their best to make themselves available for times together and learn to appreciate any differences that arise. These are opportunities to make more memories, have fun times together prior to the big day and possibly build new friendships. Have fun! You can even do your ‘Bonding Day’ invite on your Eventastic Weddings themed website and send to all the bridesmaids!

Long Weekend Wedding Date – For Consideration

There are many pros and many cons to having your wedding on a long weekend. Before you completely veto the idea of a long weekend wedding, you may be surprised at the benefits!

7 Reasons to Say Yes to a Long Weekend Wedding:

  1.       Just MarriedSunday Is An Option- often less expensive than a Friday or Saturday
  2.       Save Your Vacation Days – No need to travel on a Friday since you can travel Saturday & the holiday Monday
  3.       Family Time – The holiday often involves family get-together’s. With everyone already looking forward to seeing each other, this is another reason to celebrate
  4.       Anniversary’s Will Be Awesome – You will always have your anniversary on a long weekend
  5.       Fire Works – You are legally allowed to have a personal firework show
  6.       More Wedding Activities – long weekends make pre-wedding dinner & post-wedding brunch easy & convenient for guests.
  7.       It can be a lot of fun to spend the time with your loved ones, especially if you don’t see them often.
  8.       Bride & Groom Face Time – These extra wedding events also mean guests get actual face time to speak with the bride and groom and the couple can work the crowd at a more leisurely pace!

3 Reasons to Veto a Long Weekend Wedding:

  1.       Long Weekend Expenses – Hotels and flights are typically much more expensive on long weekends.
  2.       Already Planned – Guests may already planned their long weekends. This can cause a lower attendance, and can disappoint the couple.
  3.       It might take your guests longer to get there and longer to run your errands. One word: traffic.

You can always lessen the negative views of a wedding on a holiday weekend by spreading the word far in advance with save the dates cards! You could also arrange to have your wedding another time than the typical Saturday Afternoon.  This gives guests part of the weekend to call their own. Friday & Sunday are a good idea on long weekends.

We hope this gives you some food for thought before scraping several of the weekends out of the year. We also hope this opens up more opportunities to create your dream wedding – that venue, photographer or limo just might be available.

10 Themed Wedding Suggestions for the Bride and Fiancé

Halloween Inspired WeddingHave you considered a themed wedding? More and more often we are hearing that couples are considering a theme for their wedding to add more fun and interest.

There are so many options when choosing a wedding theme.  A theme doesn’t have to be something very specific, it can be based around anything. It’s really about expressing yourself in a way that reflects your creativity, likes, and personality.

Themes Ideas

  • Colour – Choosing a specific colour to be predominant/ accent colour
  • T.V./Movie Theme – A favourite/popular show
  • Rustic – Countryside venue, simple fashion
  • Goth – Black for fashion/flowers, dramatic makeup
  • Victorian/Vintage – Pearls and Lace, nostalgic jewelry
  • Heritage – German, Irish, English etc, traditional dress
  • Beach – Destination wedding or shells & starfish accents
  • Hollywood Glamour – Red carpet, sparkle, glitz, high fashion
  • Sports – Memorabilia, running shoes, themed cake,
  • Medieval – Minstrels, juggler, renaissance fashion, serve goose
  • Hero – Superheros, villans, added outfit accessories

Having a sit-down with your fiancée to discuss your thoughts, ideas and vision for your big day in terms of a theme can be fun whether the follow-through occurs or not. Talk about what you both like and enjoy. If you have strong Scottish ties you may consider kilts and bagpipes with Scottish shortbread for wedding favours.

Whatever your theme, your wedding day should reflect you as a couple. Hopefully, if considering a theme, you choose what you most love and together weave it beautifully throughout your special day shared with friends and family.

Favor Tips for a February Wedding

You’re down to the wire.  Most everything is planned, ordered, fitted and confirmed. Wedding favor ideas and choices have probably come in to the mix somewhere in the previous weeks for the wedding reception and considering that the nuptials are occurring in the ‘Month of Love’ you may have chosen a theme having touches of red or hearts.

Often you may have additional pre-wedding evenings, parties, events, family & friend dinners etc. planned closer to your wedding date where you’d like to express your thanks to all in a small way as they leave the occasion. Keeping with the Valentine’s theme we’ve found some great inexpensive ways for you to share your love and thanks with a small yet memorable momentum. You may choose to give a small gift to each person or one per couple.

Red-velvet-cupcakes-with-roses-horz

1.Personal Cupcakes!

These adorable red velvet cupcakes individually wrapped in a cellophane bag (found at any craft store) would certainly be an appreciated treat. They can be easily made with a gluten free cake recipe and red colouring for any guests with gluten intolerances. Consider placing the cupcake on a tiny coloured paper plate to avoid smudging and tie off the bag with red ribbon for an added touch.

Chocolate covered apple

2. Deco Candy Apple!

Everyone seems to love a candy apple whether it be with the traditional red candy coating  or be one of the super-deluxe gourmet ones you now see covered in chocolate and caramel. Add some of your creative pizazz to the stick with a red rose – like the picture, a small thank you tag or a simple red ribbon.

Love charm

3.  Charm Them!

If it’s a girls evening you could consider a small charm for those attending. Many girls already have charm bracelets for the little momentum but if not the charm could easily be put on a chain or chord. It’s a simple yet meaningful way of having them remember your evening together before the wedding.

4. Functional & Themed!beer opener

If planning an occasion for both ladies and guys you may wish to consider what traditionally has been considered a ‘guy gift’ that both he and she will find useful.  This one not only has the red colour we were hoping to have but also a tiny red heart commemorating the love your share.

It’s a lovely touch to end a special evening prior to the wedding with a little gift. It doesn’t have to be big and extravagant. Just a token to let your guests know how much you appreciate their love, friendship and support just before the wedding.

A Valentine’s Wedding

A V-Day Proposal

Believe it or not, there are an average of 220,000 wedding proposals on Valentine’s Day each year and many couples love the idea of getting married on or close to Valentine’s Day!

It is classically known as the Day of Love. February 14th is the day where people show their feelings of love, affection and friendship so it’s not surprising that couples want their wedding to happen during this time with this aura surrounding their big day.

Red has long been known as the true colour for Valentine’s Day. Venus, the Roman Goddess of Love adored the red rose. The red rose represents strong romantic feelings and red is symbolic of the heart. Often couples getting married in February choose red as their main or accent colour.  Take a look at some of the red items we have found to inspire you if planning a Valentine’s Day wedding.

Bridal designers such as Vera Wang have been aware of this trend and are selling bridal gowns in various hues of red to brides wanting to wow their guests with something other than traditional white.

Wedding Shower Tips

Wedding showers are some of the most exciting pre-wedding parties that entail gift giving in anticipation for the big day. Wedding showers are usually hosted by friends, family, workmates etc, bringing various groups of people together for fun, nibbles, memories, gift giving and celebrating of the wedding day to come. It is not unusual for there to be multiple showers planned within a couple months of the wedding. There are a few aspects of shower planning that brides can and should be involved in to help with its overall success.
We at Eventastic Weddings have a few tips on wedding showers for you to ponder in terms of preference and then share with your wedding party or those most likely to host.
1. What type of shower do you prefer?
In the past, wedding showers were actually bridal showers where only the bride attended with those throwing/attending the party and the groom/fiance’s job was to arrive at the end and start hauling out all the gifts to the car. Today times have changed and now it is not unusual to have couple’s showers where both attend and enjoy the festivities. It’s a good idea to let your friends and family know your thoughts and preferences whether traditional or not.
2. Do you have a particular theme you wish for?
It is always fun when showers are hosted with a particular theme in mind. Often themes are chosen taking into consideration the bride or couple’s interests and likes or trying to capture a particular mood or feeling. Themes range from “Garden Party” (guests sip on tea or martini’s in a beautiful garden setting) to “Spa Party” (guests enjoy time together having facials or mani/pedi) to “Candy Party” (where every kind of candy is displayed in interesting ways for all to sample) to “Glamour Party” (where each guest is given a colourful boa as they walk the red carpet). If you have a particular theme wish now is the time to share it.
3. What are your thoughts on venue?
Your shower may take place in a beautiful garden either public or private, or be planned in someone’s home or even at the office. It may occur at the retirement home making it easy for grandma to attend or at a hall depending on numbers being invited. If you know of relatives and friends that would want to attend one of your showers but have special requirements because of disability or otherwise now is the time to let those most likely to plan know.
4. Do you have food preferences?
Food for showers sometimes will involve a meal but most often it is an afternoon of great nibbles, both sweet and otherwise. If you totally dislike or have developed allergies/sensitivities for certain foods now is the time to make that known. Shower hosts might ask various people to contribute to a potluck style of gathering or even arrange to have it catered and the last thing you need is hives or upset stomach at the end of the day.
5. What are your thoughts on games?
Shower planners often arrange to have party games played at the shower to keep the mood happy and lively as well as assist everyone in mingling and mixing. There are endless options to be played. Have you heard of the toilet paper bridal gown and veil game? Guests are divided in groups and asked to pick one person from their group to don the wedding ensemble made out of toilet paper. If there is a shower you’ve attended in the past and loved playing a game or found it effective then this is the time to share ..or…if you dislike all games at showers you might want to mention this.
6. Have you started your shower registry?
At this point you have had some time to peruse your free wedding website and no doubt are thrilled with having your universal gift registry option. Any item from anywhere can be added to your wedding registry from surfing the net on your computer AND by using Eventastic Weddings APP downloadable through any APP store for any smartphone. We suggest that you make not only your “Wedding Registry” of items for your guests to see but ALSO one or multiple “Shower Registry” lists. Shower registry items would typically be items that are lower priced or group buy options.

It’s important that your shower planners get your thoughts on these aspects to help in its success. Remember that your shower could be added to your events page to made invites easier and could even have a ticketing option to help pay for some of the costs. (Your planners will love that!)
Have fun uploading all your shower pictures to a “shower album” on your wedding website for everyone to enjoy!

Memories Of Your Wedding

Eventastic Weddings Photosharing www.eventasticweddings.com

It’s a shame, but many brides have foggy memories of their wedding day. It shouldn’t be a big surprise, however, with all the stimulation, and people, and excitement of the day, it’s hard for a bride to slow down long enough to process and store any memories.

If you make yourself step away for just a moment or two, you’ll give your mind the opportunity to imprint at least a few special memories of your wedding day, and in time, these memories will be more valuable to you than any photograph or video. It’s actually worth asking a trusted friend to remind you to do this several times during your wedding day.

Another great way to remember the details of your wedding day is through Eventastic Weddings photo sharing feature. Ask your guests to take candid snapshots of the wedding and reception with their smart phones. They can upload the pictures through live stream through your own custom wedding website to be projected on a screen during your wedding. Remember a few years ago when wedding receptions put disposable cameras on the tables at the reception for and guests to take candid snapshots?  Same idea!  We’re just taking tradition and adding in modern technology. And if you are planning a destination wedding, folks who are unable to attend in person can then watch from anywhere in the world as your wedding unfolds.

Just a reminder, make sure to ask your venue for a projector and screen to watch the fun.

Encourage your guests to have fun with this application!  Worried about inappropriate pictures being seen?  Don’t!  We have taken care of that detail as well. You can turn on a filter on the photo live stream during the reception to prevent any inappropriate shots being released. You can have your best man, maid of honor or family friend, or someone you trust in charge of this responsibility.

See all of the candid snapshots that you would not have seen in the first place!

Are you thinking of an unusual place to get married?

EventasticWeddings.comOne of the most important aspects of your wedding is choosing a location. You ask yourself the typical questions… Where is the ceremony going to be? Should we have a destination wedding? What type of venue should we go with? Decisions, decisions decisions!  Have you ever thought about thinking outside the box of the typical wedding locations?

Think about some of you and your fiancé’s favorite places to visit or a great memory you both share at a specific place e.g Are you baseball fans? Get married at a field. Was your first date at an amusement park? Have your ceremony by your favorite roller coaster ride.  Are you both animal lovers? Get married at the Zoo! There are more options than you think…you just have to step outside of the conventional wedding box!

Remember however,  sometimes picking an unusual place to get married means that some of your guests will not be able to attend.  Eventastic Weddings has this awesome photo sharing feature that allows guests who cannot attend still feel as if they are part of your wedding. Your guests can easily upload with any smartphone and share candid snaps from your big day! How amazing is that!
